Deleting an Asset

If you have made a mistake on the information you have entered for your Asset, you can always Edit the Asset information.


If you would like to Delete an Asset, you can only do so if there are no linked Inspections. Assets with linked inspections cannot be deleted.


Please note: Only Asset Owner organisation users can delete Assets. If you are a Contractor organisation users, you are unable to delete Assets.



Deleting an Asset

To get started:

  1. Navigate to the 'Inspections' page on the menu
  2. Search and select the Asset you would like to delete

  3. Once your Asset has no linked Inspections, then the 'Delete' button will be selectable. Please note: Assets with linked inspections cannot be deleted.
  4. A confirmation dialogue will appear to get confirmation that you would like to delete the Asset. Once the Asset is deleted, it cannot be recovered, but you can Create a new Asset instead.

    You must type the word 'DELETE' matching the case before the 'confirm' button will activate.

  5. A confirmation message will appear once your Asset has been deleted successfully
