Assigning an Asset to an Inspection

Modified on Tue, 2 Jul at 3:53 AM

Assets in your database may have had many inspections on them through their design lives.

Linking the relevant inspections to the relevant Assets is an helpful way to manage your inspection data.

Understanding which assets might have more than one inspection allows you to:

  • identify any planned or unplanned repeated inspection work
  • identify changes in condition over time
  • identify reverse surveys
  • plenty more!

Assigning an Asset to an Inspection

To get started:

  1. Navigate to the 'Inspections' page on the menu

  2. Search and select the Inspection you would like to link by selecting 'View' the inspection record

  3. In the right hand side panel under 'Asset', you can select the 'Reassign' button to link the selected inspection to another Asset. An example shown below:

  4. Search and select the Asset from the list by selecting 'Assign'

You should also be able to see which Asset this inspection is currently assigned to

  5. Once you have reassigned the inspection, your Asset data will update automatically.
