Creating a new Asset is a great way to manage your asset information and also organise your related inspections.
The process for creating a new Asset is different for Asset Owner accounts and Contractor accounts:
Creating a new Asset for Asset Owner accounts
As an Asset Owner, you will be able manage your Assets via the 'Assets' page
To get started on creating a new Asset:
- Navigate to the 'Assets' page on the menu
- Select the 'Create Asset' button
- Enter the Asset information into the form, and select 'Create'
Success! Your new asset has been created. You should get a notification that your actions have been successful
Creating a new Asset for Contractor accounts
Users that are from Contractor organisation accounts can create a new Asset only via the 'Inspection' page.
To get started on creating a new Asset:
- Navigate to the 'Inspections' page on the menu
Search and select the inspection that you would like to create an Asset for by Viewing the inspection - In the Asset panel, select 'Reassign' to launch the Assign Asset dialogue box
- Select 'Create Asset' on the bottom right of the Assign Asset dialogue box
- Complete the Asset information in the table. Note: The information from the currently loaded inspection may pre-load the table.
- Select 'Create' and your Asset will be created
- Search and select the newly created Asset and 'Assign' your inspection to the new Asset
- Success! Your newly created Asset has been assigned.
