Uploading video files to VAPAR

This comprehensive guide will walk you through how to successfully upload your inspection footage into the platform.


It is essential to highlight that there are two stages to getting your inspections onto the platform: Uploading the footage and Processing the footage. You take care of the Uploading stage, and VAPAR takes care of the processing stage. Solutions for challenges in the different stages are different so make sure you understand the difference between the two and be able to identify which stage you are experiencing issues.


1. First stage - Uploading footage to the platform:

You can upload your inspection footage to the platform on the Uploads page by:

  • selecting the folder you would like to upload to on the platform
  • selecting the inspections you would like to upload



You will see your inspections start to upload and you can track their progress. At this time you also have the option to cancel any files you would not like to upload or add more files to the upload list. Once they are finished uploading to the platform they will be listed as 'Complete'.


Once your files are uploaded they will appear on the Uploads list where you can then track your uploads and the phase they are going through with processing:



2. Second stage - VAPAR processing the footage:

Once files are uploaded to the platform, they will be processed and the AI will split the video up into its defect frames. Throughout this stage, there are phases that the inspection will go through and you can track the progress of your inspection by the status it has.

  • Waiting to Process = the file is in the queue to be processed
  • Analyzng Video = the file is getting prepared for processing
  • Processing = the file is being processed by VAPAR's AI model
  • Failed Processing = the platform was unable to complete the processing of your file



Things to be aware of when uploading footage to the VAPAR.Solutions platform:


  • When you are uploading footage to the platform, make sure you have a stable internet connection.
  • Do not leave the page when uploading inspections or refresh the page, you will lose all progress of uploads and will have to re-upload the footage to the VAPAR.Solutions platform.
  • Your file is not larger than 10GB


**If your files remain on the uploading list with the status 'Uploading' for a long period of time, please delete the file and reupload your inspection.




Things to be aware of when waiting for your footage to be processed by the VAPAR.Solutions platform:

  • You may need to refresh the uploading list after some time to update the processing statuses using the 'Refresh' button at the top of the screen
  • Processing may take longer if there are a lot of files in the queue to be processed


**If your files remain on the uploading list with the status 'Failed to Process', please delete the file and reupload your inspection. If this happens again, please contact VAPAR at support@vapar.co or use the Help widget.
