Exporting Data

Modified on Thu, 19 Oct, 2023 at 12:07 AM

At this point you will have successfully uploaded and reviewed surveys, but how can we see the data and export it?

By using the exporting features within the platform, you can download the data in the following formats: PDF, CSV file either containing the defects, assets, predictors, or links; XML documents, and the list goes on.

If you want to export one of these documents while viewing an inspection on the Review page, select the menu option in the top right corner and click 'export as'.

You will then be given a selection of file types to download, choose the one that suits your needs and click download.

Can I Export Results for Multiple Inspections?

If you are wanting the data from multiple inspections, go to the Inspections page and select the inspections you would like to generate the reports on.

Once you are happy with your selection, simply click the table options button and choose 'export as'.

Top Tip: When exporting multiple surveys, select PDF if you would like the data from all the surveys to be in one document. If you would like the data to be organized into individual PDFs, then select ‘PDF (zip)’. This will create a folder containing all the individual PDFs.

When downloading more than 200 files, VAPAR will send you an email containing a link to automatically download these files. This link will only last one hour, so access the link as soon as possible.

The following are explanations of the export options:

  • PDF will export your selected results as a PDF. If you have selected more than one file, it will be exported as a single stitched PDF with all PDF reports in the same file, one after the other.

  • PDF(ZIP) will export your selected results as a PDF. If you have selected more than one file, they will be exported as individual PDFs and will download in a zipped folder.

  • Defect CSV will export your selected results as a CSV with each row representing results from each single, unique defect that has been identified in the respective asset CCTV video.

  • Asset CSV will export your selected results as a CSV with each row representing results from each single, unique asset CCTV video

  • Links CSV will export a simplified version of the Asset CSV but include links to download the PDF report and video file for each asset.

  • XML will export your selected results as an XML file, targeted to meet the UK XML requirements.

Note that if you are downloading a large amount this may take some time.
